Hi there,

I enjoy your commentary. I've spent the last 30 years as a gastroenterologist based in Cleveland, and for the past 16 years I've written a blog sharing insights into the medical profession. I just started a Substack to share my thoughts and advice. My latest post is about chronic abdominal pain. I'm hoping it may prove relevant to you, and that'll considering following along.

Thanks!

Hi Dr. Kirsch. Thank you for sharing your post on Chronic abdominal pain. Interestingly, I was diagnosed with IBS by my doctor, and sent home with a sheet of low-FODMAP foods. I was left more confused and feeling more hopeless. This was what inspired my journey into nutrition and to go back to school for my Masters. To learn more, live a life not of fear but empowerment in my food choices, and hopefully help others along the way by inspiring them to take their health back into their own hands. The chronic illnesses we have today are abundant, and I believe food is medicine and a great way to lessen this load. Thank you for reading my substack!
